I have heard that it is almost impossible to drive over the Panamanian border with a car rented from Costa Rica. I would like to know if it is possible to do this because it would save me quite a bit of money flying from one country to the next.

yes it is posible, b ut get in contact with the rental agency and ask the question.

also, get a letter from the agency stating this you are autorized to do this operation of driving from costa rica to panama.

now the hard part, you have to get the car back to costa rica.

I actually were in Costa Rica for almost a 12 months, and that i must admit that I actually have not offered or rented a motor vehicle in that element. I do borrow a chum's Subara WRX each and every so often, a calming little motor vehicle to throw round in helpful u . s . a .. in any case, i do no longer trust you are able to take a condo abroad. contact the condo agency to be constructive, yet I wager that they are going to say 'No way.'

Yes, it is possible. You only have to have letter from the rental company, stating you are allowed to. It is NOT possible to drop off the car in another country though...
